AP PROFI QUIET fans are enclosed in a specially designed sound-insulated casing that ensures silent fan operation in combination with high aerodynamic characteristics. The fans combine the wide capabilities and the high performance characteristics of both axial and centrifugal fans, thus providing powerful air flow and high pressure. The fans are recommended as a component of the air handling systems for various commercial and industrial premises with high requirements to noise levels, i.e. libraries, conference halls, educational institutions, playschools etc.
The outer casing is made of black polymer coated steel. Heat and sound insulation is thanks to a 50 mm mineral wool layer. The inner casing perforation lets sound waves pass through the holes and fall at a specific angle to the sound-absorbing layer thus providing sound attenuation in a broad frequency band. The inner casing and the impeller are made of high-quality durable ABS plastic. The conic impeller with special blade profiling, the diffuser and the directing vanes on the casing outlet increase air flow speed and provide higher pressure and air capacity as compared to standard axial fans. The diffuser, the specially profiled impeller and the directing vanes at outlet from the fan casing distribute air flow in such a way as to attain the best combination of high performance and high pressure at low noise level. The fan casing is equipped with an airtight terminal box for connection to power mains.
The fans have a single-phase energy-efficient double-speed motor with low energy demand. Thermal switches ensure motor overheating protection. Extended motor service life of up to 40 000 hrs are due to ball bearings. IPX4 ingress protection rating.
The double-speed motors are controlled with a built-in switch.
The duct fan is used to transport clean air without any mechanical contaminants or grease, which could damage the impeller or the fan itself. If the device needs to be used, for example, in the kitchen or any place where greasy air must be removed, it is a good idea to install a grease filter in front of it. The same applies in the case of various workshops, warehouses, garages or wherever the air contains various impurities. Here, a filter according to the given filter class should be installed in front of the fan.
