COAL - carbon filters

Dalap COAL filters are employed in a wide range of applications. They are used to eliminate odours and hazardous gases from inlet and/or outlet air. Examples of the applications of our activated carbon cartridge filters: airports, clean rooms, hospitals, data centres, catering kitchens, museums, archives and offices.

Applications

Dalap COAL carbon filters are used for industrial applications such as spray painting booths where a large amount of activated carbon is required to capture high concentrations of volatile organic compounds. The major advantage of this type of cartridge filter is that they can be connected directly to the hose of an extraction fan. Once the filter medium is saturated the filter can easily be removed and replaced by loosening the hose clamp.

More and more industries have to implement local exhaust ventilation, where contaminants are captured at the source. Local exhaust points throughout the factory are connected to a large air handling cabinet. The disadvantage of this approach is that warm air is lost from the building. Carbon filters  can be used as recirculation filters at the source. This requires a much lower investment, and the warm air stays within the building, resulting in reduced energy costs.
